So I am hoping to finish up my Kyle story. I know people don't care, but I am doing it more for me so I can remember some day. After Kyle was born his lungs were not developed, so he was not breathing. We were very blessed to have the kid's doctor there. He thought he was coming for a simple thing of just getting kyle ready to hand over to Texas Children's. So after Kyle was born they didn't tell us much at all, but we knew something was wrong. They pulled Kyle and Richard out of the room at this point to finish up with me. I only got to see kyle for a spilt second, after that they took me to the recovery room. My body went into shock and I couldn't get warm at all. The ended up putting drugs into my IV to try and bring me out of shock. I spent a great deal of time praying and knowing things would turn out the way they were meant to. At one point in time I was reading my scriptures, on my phone because besides my purse it was the only other thing I took with me. I just opened me phone and started reading at the first place I came to, which happened to be a scripture that I loved in college. "Without the Lord I am nothing" During this time Dr. Glass was our hero and spent an hour and half to two hours bagging Kyle because they couldn't get the tube to stay in him to breathe. The nurses told me that Dr. Glass is not one to get mad, but he was on the phone yelling at the children's hospital to get there. They have better equipment to deal with these things. Around 3:30 he came in and told us that he had finally gotten a tube in Kyle and he was stable for the time. The children's hospital arrived about this time to get him. They loaded him up and got ready to take him away. I did get to see him for a minute as they wheeled him away. They let Richard go with them and he had nothing at all. So two ambulances and one jet later thy made it to Houston. As soon as they got there, his breathing tube failed. But they were in a place where they could take care of it right away. We were very blessed to have family be able to drop everything and come help us. Kyle spent a month in Houston while we went back forth to see him. They spent almost a week making sure his lungs were strong enough to do surgery, we still had to bowel problem to deal with. The Thursday after he got there, they did his surgery. I kissed him and said bye at 1:47. We were told it would take around 3 hours, as long as everything went well. So we waited and then decided to get something to eat really fast. We came back and waited some more. Around 5:45 I started to get worried. I knew nothing would go wrong, but you start second guessing yourself. Around the time that they were taking Kyle back to his pod area I got a feeling that it was all done and everything was ok. Soon after that we were able to see him. It is the hardest thing knowing that your child is going through all of this and you can not do anything. They ended up cutting about 10% of his small intestines out. We then spent the next three weeks working towards getting him home. They had to get him off the O2 and then eating milk before he could come home. We had several set backs, but were able to bring him home the second day school started. I never had to chance to breastfeed him before he left, so I just hoped he would take to it and he did. We were very blessed and had a great deal of blessings happen to us along the way. I had received a blessing during the summer when I was at my parents. The whole time I hoped that they would say it was all a mistake and I would have a normal healthy boy. But I was told that things would work out and the doctors would be able to see what they needed to see and do what they needed to do. Looking back, all of this did happen and we were very blessed to have good doctors and nurses who listened and were able to save my cute baby. I am so thankful for everything and for the fact that Heavenly Father let me keep my baby. I know this is long and I am sorry, but I really wanted to be able to tell Kyle about this someday and I know there will be something I will forget. So now I have finished up my story and you all do not have to bored by it any more.

And the fun started
Now for the story of the night kyle was born. It was around 8:30/9:00 that I thought my water had broke. I wasn't too sure at first because my due date wasn't for another month. But
I finally decided that it would be best if I went to the hospital just in case. We called some good friends of ours who came and git the kids. We ever so thankful for everything thy did for us that weekend. They were a life saver. Just as we were leaving and remembered that I hadn't fed the cat for the night. As I bent over to feed the cat it was very clear that my water had broke. So we grabbed my purse and our phones and took off to the hospital. They checked me in and within a short time got me ready to fly down to Houston. Since Kyle was going to have to have surgery, they were going to send me own there to be with him. Since I was going to deliver down there, Richard took off so he could make the two hour trip and be there as soon as he could, we both knew that he most likely was going to miss the birth. I guess I should say that it was after 11:00 that they got me checked in and found that I was at a 3. While we were waited for the helicopter, my doctor came in the see how I was doing. The crew arrived to take me and my doctor decided to do a quick check to see where I was. It was close to 12:00 at this point and I was at 5 and starting to really feel my contractions. My doctor pulled the plug on my flying and started to get me ready for a c-section here in town. I called Richard and luckily for both of us he had made it to the gas station. He came back and the sent me to surgery. They has also called my pediatrician in as well. he thought he was coming in to get the baby ready to be sent to Houston. I was very so glad be was there. So that brings up to the point right before Kyle was born, which will have to be saved for another day due to the fact that Kyle thinks he needs to eat.

Haven't forgotten.
So I know that I am way behind in writing, but really I haven't have a great deal of time. I thought I might when I went done to Houston to see Kyle, but I spend as much tie with him as I could. I pretty much stayed in the NICU or the milk bank or was getting something to eat really fast. Since he has been home we have been trying to get things together and get things back to normal. Although I am not sure what normal is.
So back to my pregnancy story. When we first found out we were expecting, my biggest fear was that the epidural wouldn't work this time as well. This pregnancy for me the was hardest. I was super tired and just wanted to sleep all the time. But with three other kids, that was not really possible. I also managed to get every sickness that came our way. Other than that things were ok, until we went in for the ultrasound to see what the sex of the baby was. My doctor saw that my placenta was low, if it didn't move up I would have to have a c-section. That was another one of my fears. So I was to go back in for another ultrasound to check it out. With that ultrasound she found that my placenta had moved, but she noticed that the baby's belly was a little big. So I was sent down to Houston to a specialist for a second opinion. He found extra fluid as well, but wanted to give it a month to see if anything would change, maybe for the better. So after a month, back down we went. Sure enough there was extra fluid, for both of us. In fact my doctor in Houston decided that here would be too much fluid to have a natural birth, I was would have to have a c-section. I would also have to have him a little early, we know at this point that he was going to have to have surgery. This was about a week before I ended up having Kyle. Which is a long store in it's self. So I will save that story for another day.

My pregnancy happenings...
So with everything that has happened and the fact that I never really told anyone or even blogged about my pregnancy, I thought I would spend some of the free time I will have writing what happened during my pregnancy. If you want to read them great, if not I am sorry you have to put up with it. But I thought while I was giving updates to everyone, I would also give the story with everything that has happened.

Made me laugh
So I think I have pictures of the kids- somewhere. As Aubrey has learned since we moved, it is in a box somewhere. And soon she can say that about everything but Richard's stuff. I have been trying to get everything packed up before we go on vacation and all of my stuff gets moved. So far so good, other than the fact I need to pack the kids room. Becca loves to "help" so I have to have a day when Richard can take the kids and I can head in their room.
But my funny story. We were on the way to church the other day- Richard had to be there early for meeting- and the kids were looking at pictures from their scripture bags. Mason had a picture a girl from the ward had made of herself- still not sure who she is. But he was telling Aubrey that she is his girlfriend and they are dating. All I could do was laugh at this. My four year old sounded so grownup. Then he went on to tell Aubrey that he was going to marry her when they got older and then kiss her on the lips. Yes I know he is too young for a girl friend, but hey it is something other than games and movies, so I will take what I can get.

Still around
Believe it or not, we are all still alive. I just do not much time to do anything. We stay busy and have started to count down to the end of school. I am even thinking of making a count down chain. I am kind-of getting sick of driving Aubrey to and from school everyday. Although it will be much easier this year then next. I have signed Mason up for pre-school. Something that has been much needed and he is more than ready to go. Aubrey joined girl scouts when we moved here and she loves it. I have a harder time with it, it is very unorganized. But at least they started it and someone is trying to get things going here. She will start a new school next year, she got into the PACE program here. It is a gifted and talented program here and she are glad she was able to get in. I ma hoping we can get Mason in as well, then they would go to the same school. I go back in at the end of May for another ultrasound. We are hoping that everything looks good on this, because if not, I will be put on bed rest for the rest of the time. With three kids and summer vacation coming up we are really hoping this doesn't happen. But for now we are all doing good and just waiting for the weather to get good to start swimming.

Where I have been...
So we have all been alive, well for the most part. It seems like someone has been sick since we moved. The best was getting the flu- we all got it at about the same time. We have also been fighting colds and now it seems allergies have hit. And who has it hit the hardest, well me. My poor kids want to spend a great deal of time outside now that it is getting nice, but it kills me to go outside. But enough of that, what has been happening to is.
Aubrey has been loving school and thinks she is ready to have a sleepover. She is growing up too fast for me.
Mason is getting bigger, it seems like everyday. He keeps telling me that he wants to go to school. I am hoping to get him in next year.
Becca is my crazy kid. She climbs on everything and thinks she can do anything and everything. She still loves to be naked and really doesn't wear diapers any more.
Richard stays busy with work. He was called as a teacher at church, which he seems to enjoy. We are still looking for a house and hoping to find one soon.
I decided to start training for a 1/2 marathon about the time we moved here- which I am not sure why because we are now have our 4th kid in August. So those plans have been put on hold once again.
There is a little look at our lives right now. Enjoy!
