I called to get Mason into the Dr. this morning and they told me that they were full and I had to wait until 10:00 tomorrow to come in. Fine, whatever, it's not like I really enjoy having to take both kids there and go get him more medicine and wait. Joy of my life let me tell you. Fine I told them, I will come then, but then I asked if I should start his nebulizer since I now can feel the rumble in this chest. She told me to wait then came back and told me to come in at 2:30. I'm not dumb I know that they keep a few spots open in the afternoons just for people who call in the morning with sick kids. Oh, well at least now I know how to get him into the doctor that day.

New calling
So those of you who don't know, I received a new calling in church today. Just when I was looking forward to having time to myself, Mason is almost 18 months, I was called nursery leader. Really I think it is a good calling for me, I fell like I can relate more to the kids than half of the people in the other classes. I spent my first day in there, but Mason had to spend it with dad. He is sick yet once again. He had a runny nose and last night it turned into a cough. That means we are off to the doctor again tomorrow. Sad that the nurses seem to know us pretty well there.
Here's Aubrey riding her first horse at the lighthouse festival the other weekend. She loved it and Mason liked petting the horses.

Crazy week
We have had a big week here and I have been meaning to write about all of it. But I thought that I would get the pictures to go with it. So I finally had Richard set it up so that I can put the pictures on the computer, I am only hoping that I am doing it right. It seems to be taking forever and I got a little bit too much sun today. Ok, so I got way too much sun today. It was an awesome day and we spent 2 hours out on the beach. For everyone sakes I won't tell you how much sunscreen I put on but I will tell you that the kids are also burnt and they were for sure sun screened. To make a long story short I am tired and want to go to bed. But I am also waiting for Richard to get done with work because I know once I go to sleep he will not be able to wake me up and I like to know that he made it home ok. But we had Easter this week, which Aubrey thought was cool. The kid’s favorite thing was the cup that Grandma Jensen gave to the Easter bunny to put in their baskets. She is getting way to smart. Will have to write about that story sometime. Richard's birthday was this week. I made a cool looking cake, which the kids managed to eat just the frosting off, which worked out fine due to the fact that the cake was ok and then I didn't eat it. Richard was also surprised with guitar hero, thanks Kent, the kids also fight over who is going to play it. I don't know who likes it more Richard, Mason, or Aubrey. Last of all Richard's brother, Robert also got home from his mission this week.

Duck Attack

Last night we took the kids to the park to play for a little bit. This park is large and has a ton of things to do. They just put in a new play ground and the kids love it. Right next to the play ground is a pond, which has several different animals in it. We saw duck and turtles last night. Mason's favorite was the ducks. He would over there saying duck, duck. Some of the ducks started to fly and chase each other around. One duck started to come right where Mason was standing. Well he didn't move at all, not an inch. So I grabbed him and pulled him down. The duck landed right where he was standing. He wasn't so sure that he liked the ducks after that. But it was kind-of funny to watch and one on was hurt.

Silly Aubrey
As I was tucking Aubrey into bed the other night she started to show me her treasures that she was hiding in the bunk above her. There is a little bit if a space between the board that holds that mattress and the bed frame, where she had put a necklace and a fork. I told her it was fine to have the necklace there, but wondered why she had the fork. She pulled it down and told me that it was for brushing her hair and showed me how. Well silly me, I guess I should know what forks are for right.

Lighthouse day
Today was a big all day at the lighthouse here, which they do every year. It is free to get into the lighthouse and well everything else costs money to do. We didn’t get to go up the lighthouse, due to the fact that we had the kids and they aren’t big enough to go. But we did get to do a lot of other things and we all burned. Ok, so Richard did and all the rest of us tanned. Anyway, Aubrey was able to ride a pony, which she loved and Mason was able to pet them. He is too small to ride them. Aubrey was able to make some crafts and a boat. Mason spent his time following dogs around. I will post pictures later, but they are on the camera and I have no idea how to get them off. Knowing my luck I would destroy some on the camera and the computer so I am not going to even try.

Noah's ark
So those of who didn’t know, I made this Noah’s ark cross stitch for my mom. She told me that she would buy the pattern if I made it. I should have looked at it a little better, because well it was a great deal of work. I also thought well I like and I can make one for her and then one for me. I started it before I had Aubrey, which would be 3+ years ago and finished before Mason was born, which was 1+ year ago. I was also in school and working and would only let myself work on it when my homework and everything else was done. I guess that is why it took so long to do. I gave it to my mom and it sat in her house for a while until my dad stole it and took it to be framed for a present. I really like it, but I look at it and see every where I messed up. And no I don’t plan on making one for me any time soon or anyone else, so don’t ask.

Sunday's... You have to love them
Sunday’s are the only day that my kids sleep in, no matter what. And they both like their sleep, I really hate waking them up. To make matters unfair in my favor, you get to throw in daylight savings time as well. Mason was up in time for me to get him ready for church, but Aubrey really had no desire to be up at all. I even jump, in a way since she has bunk beds, in her bed. Still she didn’t move. Mason cries at night and she doesn’t even twitch. So it took me like five minutes to get her up and then we were late, what else is new. Aubrey tripped outside and got her knee. Wouldn’t you know it, but it started to bleed, which meant that I had to run back inside and get band aids. Later on that day, Mason was outside playing and fell down and got his head, now he has a nice scrape on it. I decided that it is a good thing that I am not going to the doctor this week. She would really think that I don’t take care of my kids.

Happy Day!
Today we spent most of day outside, a lot of the reason for this was to keep the kids from taking a nap when it was too late. Which makes a happy night for me, Mason was asleep at

The Strike is over....
My cooking strike that is. I finally decided that it was about time that I started making real food again. By that I mean something other than spaghetti or chicken nuggets or hot dogs. The other day I made a whole meal plan shopping list and off the kids and went to good old Wal-Mart. I am there enough that I should own stock in the company, oh wait I did have that at one point in time. Anyway, I made this nacho bake (it was ok, not really my favorite) and both kids looked at it and pushed their plates away. Aubrey told me that it was gross and she wanted a sandwich. This means that Mason started to say gross and ask for a sandwich. All I could think was way in the world did I do such a crazy thing as cook. But they loved what I made tonight, pizza. Sometimes I wonder why in the world I try so hard.

Funny Aubrey
Aubrey decided the dump all of her play food out of the shopping cart and I was sick of picking it up. So she was the one who was able to pick it up this time. She had only finished half of it when the kids decided that they wanted lunch. Me, being the mean mom I am, told her that she would have to finish while I made lunch or she would get any. Off she went with Mason following right behind her. Aubrey decided that she wants Mason to help her pick up. Mason promptly told her no, but this didn’t stop Aubrey. She started to sing the clean up song, which they learn in nursery. We also sing this around the house, so Mason does know it. Soon after I hear Mason singing it as well. I peeked in their room and there was Aubrey sitting on the floor, not picking up her toys and singing. Mason, knowing what the clean up songs means, was picking the toys up for her. Sometimes she is too smart for her own good.

What a day
It was one of those days where you receive news that upsets you and makes you want to fix everything and make it all better. But really in the long run there nothing that you can do but have faith and hope that everything will work out for the best. As I lay in bed, unable to go to sleep. I keep thinking of everything I could do. Although I know that I can't really do anything. I think that is the part that gets me the most; I want things and everyone to be happy. It makes me realize hoe great I really have things and that I should be more grateful for things which I do have. I know that I need to work on my faith and keep with my prayers and hope all is well in the end.

Warm weather
The kids love having the weather warming up. They both like to go outside and play at our little playground. I found Aubrey a little bike at a garage sale the other day which she loves to ride. Mason likes to get on but, he can only push with his feet. We went outside tonight so that Richard could study without us around to bother him and both kids decided that they wanted to go play in the sand, which is the volleyball pit near the club house. I let Aubrey take her bike and she rode it all the way there and back by herself. Best $2.00 I think that I have spent in a while. They also enjoyed their time playing in the pool, which was cold by the way and usually unplanned.
